How to choose boho chic accessories

Choosing boho chic accessories:

1

Know that accessorizing is a must. Boho Chic is all about layers, and accessories are an important part of this.

2

Wear bracelets. Bracelets are a must-have for the Boho Chic style. Thin silver bangles and colorful, woven Mexican bracelets are amongst the most popular types. For a creative twist, you could also wear wooden bangles. You can wear bracelets on your ankles (i.e. anklets) too! Thin, dangly silver ones are nice. You can also wear bracelets (also known as armbands) on your upper arms: braided and metal armbands are popular.

3

Wear dangly earrings. Boho Chic earrings are dangly and often combine metal and natural stones. They can also include feathers and leather. As with everything that is Boho Chic, seek out natural shades and materials.

4

Wear a necklace. Boho Chic necklaces range in lengths, but what they’re composed of is generally the same: natural materials and colors.Leather, metals, stones, shells, fringe, cottons and wools are common materials. (These are also common materials for earrings and bracelets.)Ethnic-inspired pieces are particularly popular.

5

Get at least one hat. Fedoras and floppy, wide-brimmed hats are popular in Boho Chic, as are crocheted caps. Floppy, wide-brimmed hats in neutral tones are often paired with long dresses, or with flowy tops and short shorts.

6

Buy a headband. Floral headbands were hugely popular in summer 2015. Other types of head pieces that are popular include braided headbands and chain tiaras.Tying scarves or bandanas around your hair or wearing them as headbands is also popular.

7

Get a colorful handbag. Colorfully patterned handbags as well as handbags with fringe and tassels are popular Boho Chic choices. As with everything Boho Chic, aim for natural fabrics and shades.

8

Wear vintage-style sunglasses. Big sunglasses in varying shapes are key elements of Boho Chic. Round glasses and aviators are quite popular, but anything big and vintage-looking will do — choose what looks best on your face!

9

Don’t overdo it. Select your accessories carefully, taking your entire outfit into consideration. You want to make sure that a) your accessories match the tone of your outfit, and b) they aren’t competing with each other. You don’t need to wear five necklaces with big stone pendants on them: just choose the one that looks best with your outfit. You probably don’t want to wear a chain tiara with jeans and a simple white top. It would be more appropriate with a summery maxi dress.

How to choose boho Chic clothes

Choosing Boho Chic Clothing:
1
Choose clothing in natural tones and fabrics. When building your Boho Chic wardrobe, choose items made from natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, velvet, chiffon, silk, leather, suede, and fur.
You’ll also want to choose items in natural tones and colors — for example, white, beige, brown, earthy reds and oranges, and dark greens.
Note that wearing fur is considered by many to be cruel and unethical. If you like the look but don’t want to wear real fur, there are many good faux fur clothing items available.

2
Say yes to lace, crochet and other embellishments. Crocheted and lace dresses, tops, hats, and bags are staples of Boho Chic. Beads, fringe, and embroidery are also hugely popular, and can appear in your clothing and your accessories.

3
Experiment with fun patterns. Boho Chic clothing comes in many patterns: floral and avant-garde-style accents are popular, as are checks and ethnic-inspired prints.
If you do experiment with fun patterns, be sure to pair them with relatively neutral items for a balanced outfit.

4
Think comfort. A key ingredient in Boho Chic style is comfort — you’ll see a lot of soft, loose-fitting, flowy clothes, often worn in layers.
Maxi dresses (full-length, usually loose-fitting dresses) are a great example of the flowy comfort common to Boho Chic.
Cut-offs and a flowy white lace top paired with a long, beige knitted sweater is another example of a comfortable Boho Chic outfit.

5
Combine fitted and flowy clothes. Not everything you wear has to be flowy — you can combine flowy shirts with fitted pants or skirts, or vice versa. Here’s an example of an outfit you could wear in colder months, when the rain and snow make flowy dresses and skirts impractical:
Pair some faded, fitted light-blue jeans with a white chambray top and a big, knitted, neutral-toned sweater.
Add interest to the outfit with a long silver-chain necklace punctuated by a pretty stone pendant — turquoise would work well.
You could also combine this outfit with a colorful, jewel-toned scarf.
For shoes, go with brown, tan, or beige ankle boots with a relatively low, chunky heel. (Think cowboy boot heels.)

6
Wear shoes in natural shades and fabrics. Ballet flats and ethnic-inspired sandals (i.e. Greek, Roman, or African) are the generally accepted staples of Boho Chic. For cooler weather, you can wear cowboy boots, ankle boots with thick heels, or high ‘70s-inspired boots.
Leather and suede are the preferred fabrics for shoes; natural shades such as beige, tan, and brown are recommended.
If you’re vegan, it’s possible to buy convincing vegan “leather” versions of natural leather shoes.

7
Avoid neon. Bright colors are great for adding heat to your Boho Chic outfit; just make sure they’re colors you would find in nature — for example, jewel tones like ruby red or sapphire blue, or the bright green-blue of a clear mountain lake.

8
Don’t go overboard. With all the patterns and layers available, building a Boho Chic outfit can be daunting. Avoid the temptation to wear all of your favourite things at once. You’ll also want to avoid being too colourful: aim for mostly neutral tones plus one or two accent colors.
It’s also important to consider textures. Wearing patterned pants with a lace top and a crocheted fringe vest would definitely be going overboard.
Similarly If you’re wearing a beaded top, it may be overkill to wear a bunch of beaded necklaces with it.
If you're unsure of what sort of color combinations to use, an online search for “Boho Chic color combinations” will return a lot of creative suggestions.

9
Dress for your body type. If you’re curvier, look for items with more structure, as flowy items and layers can make you look bigger than you are.
If you’re thin and short, you may get lost in long, flowy layers; aim for shorter tops and/or skirts, slimmer fits, and shoes with heels.

How to get Priyanka Chopra's Oscar look

Bollywood's 'desi' girl Priyanka Chopra walked right into the Oscars look book for the year by choosing a pristine white mermaid gown. Here's how you can get and wear her look with a dash of modern elegance.

Priyanka added bling on the red carpet of the 88th Academy Awards ceremony, where she was a star presenter, in a stunning elegant creation designed by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad.

Shailesh Moolya, national creative director, hair, at Lakm Salon and Sushma Khan, national creative director, make-up, at Lakm Salon, share how to get the style right:

For hair: Take a horseshoe section on the top, and keep the portion separate. Take the rest of the hair and secure it in a low pony.
Take the top section and back comb hair towards the back. With this section, make a centre parting and smoothen the hair for volume and secure it with the low pony at the back. Use a mild holding spray to prevent frizzing.

For make-up: The face is prepped, and a foundation two to three shades lighter is used to highlight facial features. A darker foundation over that for contouring.

For eyes, the arch line is sharpened with a dark pencil and then blended with a brow brush. A brownish eye shadow is used along with black eye liner in the water line to bring out the eyes. A touch of mascara for longer lashes with drama. Lips are covered with skin colour foundation and outlined with burgundy for desired outline, then filled in with burgundy coloured lipstick. The cupid bow is dipped deeper for a sculpted, outlined pout.

22 Genius Eyeliner Hacks Every Woman Needs to Know

1. Make your eye makeup last longer by setting
your eyeliner with a matching eye shadow.
First, line your eyes with a pencil liner, and then lightly dust eye shadow in the same shade on top to hold the liner in place.

2. Use a pencil liner as a guide for tricky liquid liners.
If your hand isn't steady enough for liquid eyeliner, line your eyes first with a pencil liner, and then trace over it with liquid.

3. Make a less pigmented eyeshadow more vibrant by covering your eyelid with a white eyeliner first.
This will help cancel out the color of your skin, creating an even base for the shadow and making the color pop.

4. Create your own custom eyeliner with a wet liner brush and eyeshadow.
The wet brush will darken the pigments a bit and create a sharp look like a liner.

5. If you have monolids, use a gel or liquid liner and draw a thick arch to create the perfect line.If your eyelids hide your eyeliner, try drawing an arched line above your lash line a little thicker than you think. When you open your eyes, you'll have perfect-size lines.

6. Use white eyeliner as a brow highlighter for an instant eye lift.
Line below and above your eyebrows with a thick white liner, and smudge it out with a sponge brush to define your brows.

7. Make your own gel liner by warming the tip of a kohl liner with a lighter.
Hold the tip of the liner right above the flame for a few seconds, and then test the pencil on the back of your hand before lining your eyes.

8. If getting a perfect line is too challenging, draw a rough line first, and then sharpen it with a cotton swab and petroleum jelly.
Sometimes erasing mistakes is easier than trying to nail it the first time.

9. For a really natural look, tightline your liner by applying it in between the lashes instead of across the top of the lash line.
The easiest way to do this is to fill in your top lashes from the underside. This will make your eyelashes look fuller but won't leave you looking too made up.

10. Simplify drawing a straight line by lining your eyes with dots first, and then connecting them.
Make sure your dots aren't too big. They should be the same size that you'd like the width of your line to be.

11. Create an eye-opening ombré effect by fading a lighter color into a darker eyeliner.
Start at the inner corner of your eye and line the first three-quarters of your lash line with a light eyeliner, such as white. Then, grab a darker eyeliner and line the outside corner of your eye, then move toward the middle of your eye and stop halfway. Grab a sponge brush and begin blending the middle section where the two colors overlap.

12. Use the edges and curves of a spoon to master the perfect cat-eye shape.
Use the handle of the spoon to draw the angled line and the curve of the spoon to create the shape. Then fill it in to finish the flick.

13. If your eyeliner is crumbly, freeze it for 10 minutes before lining your eyes.
To prevent eyeliner crumbles from messing up the rest of your makeup, freeze the liner to help it regain its shape.

14. Fix smudges with a skin-colored eyeliner.
If you've smudged your liner a bit too much, draw over it with a skin-colored liner instead of wiping it off and starting over. This is also a great trick if you want to make the line super-sharp.

15. Use the edge of a business card to get the perfect flick.
Try tracing the line if freehand drawing is too tricky.

16. Line your waterline with white liner to make your eyes appear bigger.
Lining the inner rims of your eyes with a dark eyeliner is great for a smoky eye look but can oftentimes make your eyes appear slimmer. Opt for a white liner for a brighter, bigger look.

17. Add glitter liner to instantly transform your look from day to night.
If you don't like to wear eyeshadow but want to amp up your makeup for the night, trace over your liner with a glitter liner.

18. Get the perfect smoky eye by drawing a hashtag on the outer corner of your eyelid and smudging it out with the sponge.
Keep drawing hashtags and smudging it out to get a darker, smokier look.

19. For a more precise angle of your winged liner, draw the flick toward your eye instead of away from it.
Drawing in a backward direction will make it easier to determine where the end of the flick will be.

20. Use mascara as eyeliner with a liner brush.
If you don't have any eyeliner, use some of the product on the brush of a mascara wand to line your eye.

21. Use brown instead of black for a more universally flattering look.
An ashy brown liner works on all eye colors and shapes, and is less harsh than black.

22. Use clear tape as a no-fail cat-eye guide.
Place the edge of the tape in line with your bottom lash line and angle the top toward the end of your eyebrow.

Lush bubble gum lip scrub review

Hello everyone today's post is going to be a review as I feel like I haven't done one in ages. Today's review is going to be based around the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. You can find  Lush at al noor mall in madina and it retails for SR 65

I believe Lush offer three flavours permanently and an extra one at Christmas time: Bubblegum, Popcorn and Mint Julips as the permanent line and Santa Kiss at Christmas. I love the concept of this product and it comes in really handy. Chapped Lips + Lipstick = lines in your lips, which is what nobody wants. Especially in the colder months with the cold breeze. But the lip scrub helps get rid of dead skin on your lips and exfoliate them to make them feel baby soft. I take a bit on my finger and then rub it onto my lips for a minute or two, and afterwards my lips are left feeling super soft, it also injects moisture to your lips without leaving a greasy residue. I always follow up with lip balm to keep them feeling soft all day long. The scrub also preps you lips perfectly for lipstick, and your lipstick then won't sink into the lines and fine cracks on your lips. I also find it helps my lipstick stay on for longer periods of time when I use the lip scrub beforehand. The plus with this product is the fact that it's edible and it takes just like bubblegum, so you can just lick it off if you wanted to!

However although the overall product is amazing I feel that it is a little pricey for what it is, it costs SR 65 and you get 25g worth of product. But in all fairness it does last a really long time, so you won't waste any. The actual product is really just flavoured sugar and although I love it it can be done yourself for a percentage of the price, I feel SR 65 is a little high for the product and something in the SR 30-35 price range would be more reasonable.

Overall I really do like this product, and the result it gives for my lips. However I know that this could be copied alternatively at home for a fraction of the price and it's for this reason I am unsure whether or not I would repurchase it. Let me know your opinions on the Lush Lip Scrubs and whether you would repurchase them.

21 Genius Lipstick Hacks Every Woman Needs to Know

You know you have at least five lipsticks rolling around in the bottom of your bag. Here's exactly how to use them so you get the most out of your favorite shades.

1. Exfoliate dry lips for a smoother lipstick application with a clean, disposable mascara wand. Just apply a balm over your mouth first to give your lips some slip, so it's easier to slough away any flaky skin.

2. Keep lipstick off your teeth by sticking your clean pointer finger in your mouth, wrapping your lips around it, and pulling it out. Any lipstick that would have gotten on your teeth will be left on your finger.

3. Use your favorite pink lipstick of choice as a cheek color. Just be sure to blend it in with your finger like you would any cream blush.

4. Repurpose broken eye shadow as a lip color. If your favorite shadow crumbles and it's a color you'd also wear on your lips, store the broken pieces in a tiny container and mix what's left with some balm on a spoon, and then apply.

5. Use a concealer brush to achieve an opaque, precise application.

6. Or, use a fluffy eye shadow brush to apply your lipstick if you want more of a stained, diffused look.

7. Turn any lipstick into a long-wearing version with translucent powder. First, swipe on your lip color, hold a tissue over your mouth, and then dust translucent powder over it. A small amount of the powder with transfer onto the tissue this way, locking in your color.

8. If your lips have a lot of pink or red tones in them, pat concealer over them before you apply any lipstick to nude them out. This helps ensure that your lip color will look exactly how it does in the packaging on your lips; otherwise, the pink or red tones will alter how the color appears when you apply it.

9. You can also reshape your lips by first covering them with concealer, and then tracing just slightly outside your natural lip line with a lip liner pencil, making them appear larger. Continue to fill in your lips with the pencil for a matte look or finish with a gloss.

10. Blot the right way: between applications to make your lip color last longer. Doing so removes excess oil on your lips from the first application, so that the second one grips it better and doesn't travel off of your lips as quickly.

11. Nail your nude shade every time by going for one that is one shade darker than your skin tone, regardless of what that is. if you're fair-skinned, try a nude with a hint of pink in it, like CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick in "Honeyed Bloom;" if you're medium, go with a nude that has orange undertones, like CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick in "Caramel Kiss;" and with deeper skin, opt for chocolate browns, rosy browns with a hint of shimmer, or caramel browns that can counteract redness (if you have a lot of it in your lips), making them look more nude, like CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick in "Sultry Sienna."

12. Find the best red for your skin type by following this advice: if you're fair, go with a blue-based red, like CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick in "Hot;" if you're olive, opt for an orange-y red, like CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick in "Garnet Flame;" and if you're darker skinned, go for a burgundy red, like CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick in "Tempt Berry."

13. Perfect your Cupid's bow by drawing an "X"  on the center of your upper lip. Then, fully line and fill in the rest of your lips to give your matching lipstick something to grip on to. That way, when it starts to wear off, it will do so evenly, and you won't have that tell-tale ring of lip liner around your mouth.

14. Make your lipstick pop by lining the outside of your lips with cover-up and a concealer brush. You'll be amazed at how sharp your lips will look afterward.

15. Store the bullets of your lipstick in a pill box when you're traveling. This keeps you from having to carry around eight tubes of lip color.

16. Reattach a broken lipstick by melting the end with a lighter and affixing it back to the base in the packaging. Then, melt the two pieces where they meet to fuse them back together (just don't hold the flame on it too long or you'll melt your entire lipstick. Oh, and be careful!).

17. Store your lipstick in the fridge when it's warm out to keep it from melting.

18. Make your lips appear larger by applying one shade of lipstick over your entire mouth, and then a shade in the same color family that's a lot lighter (you can even use concealer if you really want a major effect) in the center.

19. Use hairspray to remove a lipstick stain. Spray the fabric (make sure it's not dry-clean only) with hairspray, and let it sit for a few minutes. Dab the stain, and then toss it in the washer.

20. Soften your lip liner with your clean fingertip after you apply it and before you apply your lipstick, so it doesn't look too harsh.

21. Apply a clear makeup primer around the perimeter of your mouth before you put on your lipstick to keep it from feathering. Try CoverGirl TruMagic Clear Primer.

styling tips: 10 Ways To Maximise Your Wardrobe Potential.

whether you’re gearing up for a date night (dress to kill) or merely need some new inspiration for a work outfit (survival dressing at its finest), here’s an instalment of styling tips. Featuring fashionable favourites like Mandy Moore, Cara Delevingne, and Olivia Palermo, these sartorial suggestions will be your saving grace this month!

There's a certain kind of woman who appears effortlessly styled wherever she goes. We've come to know this woman as the fashion girl — the type who just gets outfit proportions, layering tricks, and how to pull off the trend of the moment. Sure, her styling prowess can be downright irritating — how does she always make it seem so easy? — but it can also be incredibly enlightening.

1. Master the Basics First

Fashion girls aren't above the basics; they just know how to rock them. T-shirts, skinny black pants, and a classic pump are all among stylish women's must haves.

2. Change Your Look With Layers

In a fashion girl's closet, a sheath dress isn't just a sheath dress, it might also be a jumper. They look to transform staples like a great LBD into a fabulous day dress by adding a collared shirt or pretty blouse underneath. Just start experimenting with your layers; you never know what combinations you'll love.

3. Never Be Afraid to Mix Prints

Whoever said you couldn't wear stripes with polka dots had no idea just how cool they would look together. Fashion girls never play by rules like that, mixing up splashy prints with ease. If you're new to the print game, look for patterns that have a similar color scheme to start, then work your way up to bolder, brighter combinations.

4. Do the Half-Tuck

Tucking in your shirt has become something of an art form, and naturally fashion girls are really, really good at it. The half-tuck has been embraced by bloggers and street style darlings for its effortlessly chic feel, and getting the tuck just right is sort of like styling 101 for them. Just tuck the front in and let the tail hang out for the right effect.

5. Roll Up Your Sleeves

There's more than one way to wear a button-down. It might just be the easiest trick in the book, but rolling up your sleeves makes a big difference. It depends on the shirt and the look you're going for, but rolled sleeves feel more lived-in and a little more purposefully styled.

6. Knot It

Tees are meant to be twisted, rolled, and knotted — and stylish girls are adept at working them all the right ways. Knotting them at the waist is an essential styling trick that helps define your figure and can help you repurpose a dress as a skirt. Simply add a button-down or t-shirt over your dress and knot it at the waist to create the illusion of a top and skirt. How's that for layering?

7. Belt It

For waist definition or an added outfit perk, girls like Olivia Palermo know the value of belting it. A skinny one like hers lends polish to finish an ensemble, while a wider leather belt can define curves and slim the body.

8. Drape Your Jacket

Outerwear becomes infinitely more chic when it's draped nonchalantly over the shoulders, rather than worn with the arms through the sleeves. It's fashion, not function.

 9. Have a Uniform
Sure, fashion girls are bold and brave when it comes to trends, but they're also pros at crafting their own personal style, and no one does it better than Emmanuelle Alt. Her pared-down, Parisian-chic aesthetic is her signature, and it gets her photographed as much as any blogger peacocking around the tents during Fashion Week. Sometimes, it's not about knowing every trend, it's just about knowing what works for you.

10. Dress Up Your Boyfriend Jeans

While boyfriend jeans are cool, fashion girls know they're even cooler when you juxtapose them with more sophisticated, dressed-up pieces, like heels and great jewels. It's the fashion girl's take on sexy, and it works every time
