ELLE 18 COLOR POP LIPSTICK REVIEW - CINNAMON BUN

Hello People,
This review is based on Elle 18’s newly-added shade in their “Color Pops” range, Cinnamon Bun.  Elle 18 has always given us inexpensive yet good quality products. Though the staying power and pigmentation of their products are average, but what more can we expect at such a low price?

The name of the shade really does no justice to what the shade actually looks like.  It appears peachy or orange-pink in the bullet.  I was quite happy with the shade when I saw this at the store, but the SA didn’t have any testers, so I could not swatch it. When I reached home and tried, it was very slightly pigmented (much to my disappointment). I really wanted a rich peachy color, but I guess you cannot get everything for 100 bucks :-/

CINNAMON BUN

I have swatched it on my hands many times to get this color, but I must admit its a good day wear color. Students will find it very wearable. It’s not suitable for night time wear though as the color will not show at all.  Those with pigmented lips might also find this useless to cover lip pigmentation.  As for the lip balm type thing they have in the centre, I am not sure how much moisturizing that is, as my lips are again back to normal after 2 hours of application without meals.

The packaging is also pretty average in black plastic, but I somehow like the picture of that girl on it. It makes the lipstick funky looking. Staying power of this lipstick is just about 2 hours as I said earlier, but I guess it may vary from person to person.
