Today, I will introduce you all to a new product range from Elle 18 *balleballe* The brand has launched several new products; one of them is the Glow Foundation. Let’s begin with this one.
Elle 18 is a brand which provides cheap and affordable products for teenagers and college goers. We are poor little souls as our mommies never approve of makeup and never give us the money to buy the makeup we lust for *sigh*. So I was at the store to buy ponds bb cream but it was out of stock. The SA convinced me to buy elle 18 glow foundation by going on and on and on about it that how it is cheap for a foundation, it’s a new launch, its better than bb creams, yadayadayada. The elle18 foundation comes in 4 shades – pearl, marble, shell and coral. She swatched the shade Pearl on me and I bought it.
Let’s start the review and swatches.
The texture of this foundation is light and blends easily into the skin. Oily or combination skin girls need not apply any moisturizer underneath. However, dry skinned girls need to use moisturizer to avoid any dry patches. It gives a semi-matte to matte finish. It does not look cakey neither does it feel heavy.
It gives a very sheer coverage. Layering up is required to get a better coverage but don’t expect it to cover any marks or scars. The term foundation is pretty wrong for it as it more of a tinted moisturizer. It looks very natural and fresh on my face and can be used for daily wear. It does impart a little glow to my face.
The fragrance is very nice and floral which goes away after a few minutes of application. A major drawback of this foundation is that it is not at all water resistant. A little water or sweat will wash it off. It is only suitable for winters.
This foundation comes in a black and pink tube packaging. Honestly, it is very girly and cute. I like the girl on the tube. The ingredients are not mentioned anywhere on the tube. Also the shade is written on the back
side of the tube.
