Hey dolls!
I know I’m super late with this post, but I’ve been so mad busy with work (internship + freelance), which I love but it leaves next to no time for blogging (boo!). But I love my work and I love my freelance stuff (hello to everyone who I’ve been trusted to move across to WordPress!) and it’s sometimes nice to step back from blogging a little bit, but I wanna get back into blogging (and hopefully youtube too)
But with being so mad busy, there’s barely been time for looking after myself and pampering.
GIORGIO ARMANI LASTING SILK FOUNDATION
I first got this foundation as a little sample to play around because I find a lot of times a foundation that says lasts long, doesn’t – at least not for me and my slippery skin. But I ended up really liking this one, plus I didn’t expect it to be “only” considering that it’s Armani! It has a really nice subtle lumionous type effect, really lovely and a nice change from my always very matte looking skin.
MAKE UP STORE COVER ALL CONCEALER
I know it’s probably the wrongest thing ever to admit, but I barely use concealer. I’m just too lazy, plus the rest of my skin is a lot more in need of covering up. But if I feel the need to put on some concealer, I use this one from Make Up Store.
BENEFIT GIRL MEETS PEARL HIGHLIGHTER
I love me some Benefit. I got so many of their products at home, even when I think some of them are more miss than hit. I’ve had this highlighter for over 2.5 years and I’m still massively in love with it. I’ve tried the MOON BEAM, SUN BEAM and the HIGH BEAM ones but I just like this one better.
BOURJOIS FAN-TASTIC VOLUME MASCARA *
I’ve already REVIEWED THIS BAD BOY OF A MASCARA, which Bourjois has just released a couple of weeks ago. One word: AH-MAZ-ING!!!! No offence to BENEFIT’S THEY’RE REAL MASCARA, but boy does this mascara kick some serious long-lashes ass!
RIMMEL APOCALIPS LIP LAQUER
Again another product I’ve ALREADY REVIEWED (I should really create a product review directory!) I’ve been dabbing this onto my lips to give them a bit of a stained effect, so that it’s not over the top. Makes for a really pretty colour that way.
DHC LIQUID EYELINER EX *
Since I’m so lazy with doing proper eyeshadow makeup type stuff, I really always hunt for new, better eyeliners. I’d been swearing by the MUA LIQUID LINER, that is amazing, and on PIXI BEAUTY‘S LASH LINE INK until this found its home to me through a off-schedule event . Insanely long lasting, precise, opaque, perfect.
MEMEME BLUSH ME CORAL BLUSHER
I picked this up like 2 years ago or so (whenever MeMeMe launched) because I was too stingy to fork out however much BENEFIT‘S CORALISTA BLUSHER is and I still love this one. I did give that one a try too, but I ended up selling it on my blogsale, ’cause I didn’t like it as much as this one – it’s much more pigmented!
L’OCCITANE CHERRY PRINCESS HANDCREAM
Like I said in the REVIEW OF THIS HANDCREAM, I’m really in love with handcreams in general now but even more so with L’Occitane ones. I’m trialing some from other brands as well, but I find myself constantly coming back to this one because it’s much more light-weight than the others and just smells insanely divine!
SUPERDRY COCONUT LIPFIX *
What, you didn’t know that Superdry was doing beauty products now? Yeah I know, I should’ve blogged about this (have I told you yet that I suck massively??). I haven’t had a lot of time to give the Superdry beauty products much of a test drive besides this lipbalm, which tastes gorgeous. It’s thick like a thick gel-like clear-ish paste that is a bit sticky from the coconut oil contents. Super soft lips!
REVLON COLORSTAY FOUNDATION FOR NORMAL/DRY SKIN
I keep going back and forth between wanting radiant, dewy (non-longlasting) makeup and wanted the perfect matte skin. Neither really works for me, matte is just too flat, it looks cakey after a while, whereas the dewy stuff doesn’t even last long enough to look weird. This month I’ve been rediscovering my Revlon foundation. It’s thick and heavy, but it lasts really well!
What were your favourites in October?
